Dr. Helgason is a Soil Microbial Ecologist at AAFC in Saskatoon and a Visiting Scholar and Adjunct Professor in the Department of Soil Science at the UofS. With the goals of promoting efficient nutrient cycling, improved crop growth and sustainable soil management, her research focuses on soil- microbial-plant interactions and how these relationships are affected by agricultural management practices.
