P2IRC Researcher Blog Ranked In Top 50 of 2018
Dr. Stuart Smyth and his research team's blog was ranked as 37th of the top 50 blogs on agriculture and farming in 2018.
In 2015, Stuart Smyth began producing a blog for his SAIFood Initiative (Sustainable, Agricultural Innovations and Food). Smyth is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Agricultural and Resource Economics at the University of Saskatchewan, as well as a Theme 4 P2IRC Researcher. The blog is also produced by Savannah Gleim, a research associate in the Department of Agricultural and Resource Economics at the University of Saskatchewan.
The SAIFood blog was recently listed on Feedspot as the 37th top blog on agriculture and farming. Feedspot ranks thousands of blogs from all around the world on this topic, with only one other university blog ranking higher - Perdue University.
New SAIFood blog posts can be found weekly, except during the summer months. The blog is focused on being a conduit of information that communicates academic knowledge and findings to interested stakeholders and the general public. It provides information on current and important news, events, science, and publications; this information focuses around its four themes of sustainability, agriculture, innovation, and food. All four themes are interesting topics, as well as of the utmost importance to enhancing food security.
