Jill Hobbs is a Professor in the Department of Agricultural and Resource Economics at the University of Saskatchewan and chaired the department from 2006 to 2011. Her research interests encompass food policy, consumer preferences, and supply chain economics. She has co-authored 6 books, as well as over 100 journal articles, served as co-editor of the Canadian Journal of Agricultural Economics from 2013-16 and is a former President of the Canadian Agricultural Economics Society. She holds an Honorary Chair at the School of Management and Business at Aberystwyth University, UK and is Fellow of Food Policy in the Institute for the Advanced Study of Food and Agricultural Policy, University of Guelph.
